Is it a Lodge or a Wapak or Somthing Else. Please Help!
« on: August 08, 2016, 05:11:07 PM »
Came across this skillet at an antique store this morning and could use help IDing it. The seller had it identified as an early 1980s Lodge.  I thought with the unbroken heat ring, a raised "8" on top of the handle, and a raised "Y" on the bottom of the skillet at the six oclock position that it would have been made a lot earlier than 1980s. I then noticed the base of the handle and thought maybe an unmarked Wapak. Then I saw the small pour spouts and was totally stumped. Wished I would have taken better photos now. After looking through the Lodge section of the Red Book and the Wapak section of the Blue book I'm stumped and could use a little help identifying this pan please.

I've seen those, but I'm not for sure who made them.those tiny pour spouts would rule out Lodge.

The handle looks like a Victor I posted up a while back.   I know nothing about the raised letters though.   Sorry I'm not of much help.

Thanks for looking, y'all! I was thinking about the skillet today and was wondering if maybe it was given to a customer as a starter skillet who bought a new wood burning stove? Those small pour spouts really had me confused.

There was so many small found dries out there. South Pittsburgh had 2 other foundries  besides Blacklock/Lodge for example.
