Brock skillet?
« on: June 28, 2016, 08:22:24 PM »
Has anyone heard of a Brock skillet? I am new to collecting and cleaning cast iron and have acquired some pans from auctions. One place is advertising a "vintage Brock CI pan", but I can't find any info on that manufacturer.

Thanks in advance. I really enjoy seeing the outcome after cleaning up the crusty ones.

So after looking through more posts on this site, I figured it out. The pan is a Smart Manufacturing pan. The auction house apparently could only make out the "Brock" in the Brockville on the bottom of the pan. The photo was blurry, but I could make out the diamond with the G in it. It's currently only at $6 but not sure if I should bid or not.

Good research, Mike.  A great example of what the Forum can do for its members.

Thanks Jim. There sure is a wealth of information here. I'm planning on posting pics of my first attempt at cleaning some pans I got. They were pretty crusty.

Any idea on the value of a Smart Mauf. Pan? Not sure of the size of it.
