Picked this up on Ebay, stripped it and became concerned about the casting quality.  Is this a real Griswold Slant #12 (see attachments)?

William, Your skillet is the real deal. Many of the larger slant ERIE skillets (about size 10 or 11 up thru 14) are notorious for having very weak strikes or markings. Over time the patterns wear down from the abrasiveness of the sand in the mold and the markings wear down. A worn pattern leaves weak or light markings, a pattern with less wear will leave stronger marks.
