Found a McClary catalog online today from 1914, and found one of my waffle irons in it - the X275/276/277 I believe. It's not the one posted here, very similar - but they have the same numbers. Nice to be able to date something of McClary.

So, if numbers are sequential...

Ran across a really nice McClary 1914 catalog, #86 pdf  just now.  Don't think it is the same one as it only shows 1 finger hinge waffle iron on page 140 and no pattern numbers.  An impressive volume though.  What strikes me is the incredible number of different stoves and fittings.  Had to be a nightmare to keep track of the patterns and castings to put together.

There are no pattern numbers, and it's probably the same catalog you're looking at Tom.

You should be able to download the pdf from that link, left side of page.

Page 140 on the bottom, the waffle iron, it's drawn identical, even the different length handles. I'll have to post pictures.

It's a heck of a catalog isn't it? Didn't realize there was so much that McClary carried.

Thanks Robert. I've downloaded the catalog.

Now, over on the WAGS member's side, we have an 'earlier' McClary catalog... ;)

Here's my waffle iron. Note the handle lengths, and this is the number 9. I know part of the base is missing in the catalog image, but that setup would not allow for the iron to be flipped in any way? And note the handle on the base. Wonder if it was drawn as a cutaway. Maybe i'm just grasping at straws.

Cheryl, thanks for letting me know, had I known that I would have paid for membership already.

Maybe some kind of a hint list would get more people signed up as paying members...? And how does a person get signed up cause this I have to see.

Don't mind getting lost in information, just didn't realize there was anything on Canadian cast. I don't use paypal,  I'll check with Canada post, they must do US money orders.

Found this adjustable boiler stand at a local flea market, if I can find a pot to go with it, i'll pick it up... I would definitely call this a match. No markings at all.
