Unmarked No 3 Skillet looks like Wagner but different
« on: November 19, 2014, 04:06:06 PM »
Just picked up an unmarked skillet that appears to be a number 3 (no number marking) ,at first glance I thought it was a Wagner Ware but a closer look shows some differences, I will post a few photos, It looks almost same exact size as Wagner number 3, Here are the differences I noted: First off weight noticeably lighter and when I weighed them my Wagner #3 weighs 1lb 10.4 oz and the unmarked weighs 1lb 6.8 oz, That's almost a 4 oz difference in a small skillet, second the Wagner has a shoulder the unmarked has no shoulder and finally the underside of the handle specifically where it meets the body, The Wagner has a little flat triangle shaped spot and the unmarked has a noticeable ridge or gusset.
