Just because it has a ghost with no makers name, unlike the Wapaks, Wagners, Tecumseh etc. with makers names on them, IMO doesn't necessarily make it a no name, but rather a name that may be able to be determined. In this case it looks to me that Chris has more than likely found who makes it and the number plate is almost as good as it having a name. It's not a fake in the sense the maker was putting their mark on it and using an ERIE as a pattern rather than trying to pass it off as an Erie. To me this is different from a hobby or back yard recast and has more value than those pieces. I would think the value would be more like $20 rather than $1. I know if I collected these pieces, and based on what Chris has uncovered, it would have been worth that to me.
