Weird Wagner 1061

I found this 1061 Wagner. I know the logo is an earlier one but I can't find a 1061 with that logo anywhere. The only markings on the pan are shown in the pics. No # on the handle. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Dale, you need to get yourself a copy of the Blue Book. You don't show the entire pan, but the Blue Book has a list of Wagner (as well as Griswold) pattern numbers. 1061 was used twice by Wagner. Once as a size 11 regular skillet, and another as a fat free fryer. Since your logo is an older one, I suspect you found the former and not the later.

Thank you for your reply Mr. Ware...and ironically "Ware" is part of my problem. I can find the #11's with the 1061 but they all include "Ware" in the logo. I can also find #11 with the earlier logo but without the 1061. Is it possible this was a transition piece of sorts? (And I very shortly will be needing to obtain a copy of the Blue Book)

Dale, way back, in the beginning the Wagner pieces were marked just "WAGNER".  Then the markings changed to WAGNER SIDNEY O,,,,,,and many other variations.... until WagnerWare Sidney O stylized logos.

So there is a fairly complicated timeline on logos, markings, style, etc.

That is why the Blue Book and Red Book are so important.  They show you how complicated this can become, with the many, many, many differences.

Griswold is the same thing.... many, many changes over the years.

And a helpful hint... when taking a picture of a skillet,  make certain the pic shows the entire bottom of the skillet including the handle.
Same for pics of the top.  :)

The red cover book shows, what appears to be your skillet with the catalog number, on page13 in the upper right hand corner.

Thank you very much everybody! I believe there is a red, blue, and yellow? book if I am correct...is one better than the others or do I need them all? And was the pan in the red book that was similar worth anything?

Blue Cover Book........Book of Griswold & Wagner It also has a section of Favorite, Wapak, Sidney Hollow Ware.
Red Cover Book........Book of Wagner & Griswold.  It also has a section of Martin, Lodge, Vollrath, and Excelsior.
Yellow Cover Book......Griswold Muffin Pans

I cant say what you might "need".  But if you collect, and your interest in Cast Iron cookware is high, then I would say you will "want" them.

The skillet in the Red Book that is like yours, a 1061 catalog number, a #11, and lists a price range of $100-150, depending on condition, but the present market dictates prices, and I cant speak for that.
