Old No Hole skillet Size 4
« on: May 28, 2014, 09:07:21 PM »
My wife and made a day trip looking for cast iron last Saturday

Our first stop was a mini-flea market. I picked up a no hole skillet which I guess is late 1800's. It has three little legs on the bottom that are worn off about flush with the skillet. I have seen a couple of these with the legs before and they all are nearly flush. It has the old numbering system on it that shows a 4 but it is about a size 8. I believe it should have a lid the way its made.

Hi Rick, can you pleez make sure your pictures are resized to no larger than 800 x 600 pixels.  (This current batch are 1280 x 960).  This request is based on the problems we had when we upgraded the Forum last October, and experienced much difficulty and many losses from oversized picture attachments.  It is important...

We know that more upgrades/updates are coming in the near future.
So, we really need everyone to help us out in avoiding more negative consequences in the future.

Next stop I picked up a nice "WAGNER" early bean pot in great shape along with a 12 inch #3 lid, another old piece with early lettering. I have it on the skillet I bought earlier, and it fits well

Rick, I swear I want to go a junkin with you! That #4/8 skillet is amazing! But that lid, I have never seen on like that, and all you give us is a teaser, how about more photos of that one? I'd live to hear Joel's or Tim's comments on that lid!

Could I also ask you to post a picture of your Wagner kettle logo? I tried to enlarge you picture to see it but I still couldn't make it out.

The reason I ask is that I also have one (size #7) and wanted to compare the logo.
