Who else has to much cast iron?
« on: March 08, 2014, 09:39:02 PM »
I had to take a trailer load from the cleaning building to the storage building today. I need to take about three more loads like this out so I can even move around.

A lot of it is, but from a lot of different sources, been hording it for about 4-5 years or so. That is just a couple of sections on one side of the building, there is twice that amount or more scattered around.

OK, Rick, I see your point.  Maybe you might have too many CI pieces.  Personally, I don't think I do.

I have right around 50 including enameled CI. About 40 raw CI pieces. About the only pieces I would acquire these days would be the larger 10-12 skillets from Wagner or Griswold if I came across them at a steal. They would also be users for my collection. Lately I've been giving away some of my smaller skillets to family and friends who will use them.

One of my sons affectionately calls me a hoarder. I told him I could either waste my money on cast iron or invest it in whiskey, cocaine, cigarettes, young women with bad ways, tats, and pants with the belt line under the cheeks of my backside, and also buy me a hat where the visor is in the back.

It probably is....I can't tell by looking at the picture...I don't even remember it. When I get bored I just go to my building, I find stuff all the time that I have no idea I even had. My wife calls it "oldtimers disease"
