Recent find, Griswold Dutch Oven
« on: February 09, 2014, 07:48:35 PM »
Came across this at a local auction recently.  This one didn't garner any attention I guess because no one recognized ERIE.  Next to it was a Favorite Piqua Ware smiley chicken fryer(?) with lid that a couple of folks were looking at instead.....fine by me. :)

I put a little mineral oil on it to show "ERIE" and 9 on the pot and the 9 on the under side of the lid.

I'm happy with my.....$15 purchase.  :)

It looks worse in the photos than in person.  I think it will clean up fine.  Sits flat.

Very cool! Post some after photos.

Dwayne, I will post some after photos....eventually.  Several items in the lye bath ahead of this one.  Haven't done much cleaning this winter.
