Name that Aebelskiver
« on: August 20, 2009, 02:49:17 PM »
I picked this one up at a garage sale for a whopping $2.  Not sure of the make.  I has made in usa on the bottom and a #1.  Any ideas who made this one, or how old/new it may be?

Am at work, but memory believes it is listed in their 1984 catalog which would make it probably 70's to 89.

I just checked the pdf's... it's shown in the Century brochure (circa 1987).

Nice looking pan Kyle. A couple of things it is nice for besides "skivers" are oysters casino and stuffed cremini mushrooms. Here is a link showing the mushrooms.

Folks that are looking for one will run across one made by Jotul in Norway.  It's a nice pan but the 'skiver holes are not round - they are kind of flattened.  Makes it harder to turn the 'skivers when cooking, I think.

The BS&R pan had hemishperical holes.
