Nickel vs chrome plating

Jerry,
Don't know much about Wagner. If this logo dates prior to 1930-32, I bet it is nickel plated???? My info has Wagner starting their nickel plating in 1892. I'm sure they went into the 1930's with nickel plating, but I don't know how much longer. Does anyone have a date? My guess is that your Wagner 1050 is chrome plated, but an approximate manufacturing date would be interesting.

I have no idea on the date of the Wagner plated ashtray, but I found it in Ohio.....CPR? did you plate this in your garage?

Well Jerry, actually no, but I'll tell you one thing, you don't go to no antique store around here in Ohio and Indiana but you don't see a fist full of them boys. However, I do not recall ever seeing a chrome one like this before, that is, if I may be so bold as to call it chrome.  ;D

 I have one of these. It's marked 1050D. with 3 small dots on the underside of the handle. I've been calling it chrome.
