Looks like it's nickel plated.  The sides are so shiny they look like chrome to me.

What do you think it's worth?

It cooks so nicely that I'm considering just keeping it.

It is called duochrome.  It is chrome plated.  Plated items unless perfect don't bring half of there iron pieces.
