A question about lead contamination
« on: March 20, 2017, 12:01:10 PM »
Hey guys,
I put a rusty #3 in my e-bucket and then in my lye bucket. Then I tested it for lead and it was positive. Have I contaminated my buckets? Do I need to empty them and wash them? Or do I just throw those buckets away and start over?

Also, I put a couple of things in the e-bucket after this one. Are they now contaminated too?

Here is a recent thread about lead. Maybe it will help you decide what to do with your solution:

Thanks Russell. I'll dispose of both, just to be on the safe side.
