Using Molasses To Remove Rust

Hi,

Long time lurker, first time posting here.

Has anyone tried using Molasses solution to remove rust from cast iron pans? 

If so, did you like the results?

Hello Andy,
and WELCOME!!

We here at WAGS have conducted the GREAT molasses experiment and those posts are on the member's side of our Forum.


Now... I participated in the grand experiment, and have been a "molasses runner" for other members.. :) :)


And yes it works....


HOWEVER...

Great caution is advised... as I have a full load of destroyed Cast Iron skillets to testify to the power of molasses.

So... for a newbie experimenter I would advise to run screaming the other way.  :) :)
