This is the piece that spent 8 hrs in 100% vinigar. I can't tell by looking that it had to much time in the vinigar but I think it does still feel a little different. Maybe I was lucky it was so heavily rusted.

Excellent restoration, Glenn.  Will it be a user or a collector piece?

I'm gonna get on the bandwagon here also Glenn.  I think you did a wonderful job cleaning this piece. People buy one of these pieces and use it a couple of times and then let it sit outside and go to hell. You know how them people rescue dogs and cats, that's what we do with cast iron.

Perry,

I know "them crazy people" that rescue dogs and cats.  So, what are you trying to say here?  Are you know in certain sections of Greenville as the crazy recluse that sits in a dark house, peeping out of the windows at bypassers?  With an overgown yard that is comparable to the darkest jungle?  That has loaded the dark house to the ceiling with thousands of pounds of cookware to the point of near structural failure?  Is that the situation? ;D

By the way, Glenn, nice job on that grill.

Thank ya'll very much.
Well Jim... my intention was to use it, especially on a big campout my family does every year but I got to say after that much work to clean all those parts it might be hard to dirty it up. ;D
I think I'll wind up using it, I think it will be fun.
