I know we have a LOT of members in the Florence Hurricane Zone...

Please, please, get out now, if you have not already....

The Tracks have just changed... and now encompass parts of Georgia also...

Any and all are welcome to head to us here in Pennsylvania...

If you have an RV... park it in my front yard.... Camping World is a mere 2 miles away...

We are soggy here, but safer for now... (until Florence comes for us many days from now, possibly)....

I have a few beds available... and will find more if needed... in the neighborhood...

I also have today's purchases available to put into use, because it has been the summer from hell here!

Bring some iron to throw in the Electro's too!!

I was in Corolla on the Outer banks.  It's Currituck county.  Just a little rain and some wind.  Wilmington is 190 miles from Corolla according to an "as the crow flies" web site

Dare county to the south issued an evacuation order starting Tuesday.  The WMB (bridge) was also to be closed at a later date and time.

Curritick the issued an evacuation order for visitors and guests starting Tuesday at noon.  Then changed it too everybody.  Moved furniture our of lowest level and stored deck furniture.  Planned on leaving first thing Wednesday morning.

Got up Wednesday morning, and the new forecast track moved more south.  Decided to stay.  Was a non-event in Currituck.  Only damage in Dare county was minimal, and only some people on Hattteras Island lost power.

Neighbor said that he saw the 11 PM GFS update Tuesday night that the forecast track had moved more south, so he knew Tuesday night that we'd be staying.

Checked on a few homes for people like I did after Matthew 2016.  No damage at all.

Bridge was kept open for emergency responders and people with an essential services pass like a neighbor has.  Bridge opened to non-permanent residents and business owners at 7 AM Saturday.  Bridge open to all 7 AM Sunday.  Renters could check-in for vacation Sunday.

Was told by a neighbor that a local FD chief told them that the evacuation was issued earlier this time since they messed up with Matthew in not issuing an evacuation order.

Poor people in southern NC and SC.  :(

We weathered the storm pretty good in Murfreesboro N.C., ( Northeastern N.C.) however we were expecting the worst up until a few days of landfall.
