Hello Greg,

Found it?  :-?  Just laying there to be picked up?   ::)

I'm no expert but the Blue Book shows wooden handle GRISWOLD skillets circa. 1892-1940, Various logos...  A #3 lists at $175-$200 (in excellent shape of course and aluminum is usually less desirable than CI).  There is no mention of the hammered finish like you have, but many people collect them...
Hopefully someone with more knowledge than I will chime in...

Nice piece for sure!  [smiley=drool1.gif] they are getting harder to "find" these days, especially with wood handles.

Honestly, yes, it was just lying in a stack of cast at our locall thrift store. Picked it up for $15.
Just been having a terrible time finding info.
Thanks for your input Larry, greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much Valerie! Greatly appreciated.  This blue book you guys are talking about. Is this just a wagner/griswold blue book? Or all cast in general? Easily accessible  thru amazon and such?

The Book of Griswold & Wagner Favorite Wapak Sidney Hollow Ware(Blue Book because it has a blue cover), I think the latest is the 5th edition.

The Book of Wagner & Griswold Martin Lodge Vollrath Excelsior(red book because it has a red cover)

There is also a yellow book which I believe has a lot of Gem and Muffin pans.

All published by Schiffer and yes I believe available on Amazon and other outlets

You will see all 3 shown on the below link

https://www.amazon.com/Griswold-Muffin-Pans-Schiffer-Collectors/dp/0764302396

Shop around you may find them less than at Amazon

They are great reference material, as for actual value of the pieces i generally scan ebay for sold listings and other auction sites to get an estimate on what the market trend is.

I like books
I just got The Red Book No.11 The collectors guide to old fruit jars for Christmas...If you think collecting cast iron is crazy fruit jars will have your head spinning :o
