Mystery Skillet Combo Cooker Lid
« on: November 20, 2016, 05:01:43 PM »
Picked up this skillet at a local thrift shop, To me it appears to be the top part of a combo cooker, No visible marks that I can see to identify it but the handle looks like Vollrath to me, It just went in my lye tank so I will be able to tell more in a few days if there are any marks hidden under the crud.

Over all width is 10 1/4", distance across outside of raised lip is 9 7/8" and inside width is 9 5/8" so I am guessing it is for a No 8 skillet or kettle or what ever it was meant to fit.

It is the top half of a Vollrath double skillet set.

Thank you Roger, Any idea when it was produced.
I found a small pic on an ad in the redbook that looked like it could be it, Deep bottom skillet with shallow top half

I don't know the age.   There was a thread on the Forum that showed pics of the set.  I haven't been able to find it to post a link for you.
