Goodwill find
« on: August 11, 2016, 11:38:13 PM »
Hi all,

I'm new to the forum as of this week. I've had an interest in cast iron for a while but don't often get the chance to indulge.

I recently found a pan at a local Goodwill. It is small, is made of a very thick gauge; at least equaling that of modern Lodge, has a machined cooking surface with the machining swirls visible under the patina, small suggestions of pour spouts, what seems to be what might pass for a heat ring on the bottom and the stamped letters.....

MADE IN USA (top center)

NO. 3(bottom center)
6 5/8 IN. (bottom center)
2(bottom center, much smaller font size)

Anyone have any idea what it might be?
pics to follow if I can get them to download.

It appears that i am unable to place an attached picture.

I choose the file and then preview only to have the following text show up each time.

"NOTE: If you had an Attachment in your post, you will need to reselect the Attachment again in the Browser Box for security reasons."

Can anyone clue me in?

When you preview the photo, it removes the photo and it must be attached again.  Try posting it without previewing it or attach it again after the preview.

Yup, BS&R a DISA made Century skillet, so cast after 1966. Cheryl with your size chart can you give an approximate end date for this one?
