Here's a new one

I can't really see any use in this, but someone thought it was a good idea.

Here's a link, and to see it without the label, a pic.

I can think of a few uses. Probably would work well for grilling (charring) asparagus, onions and peppers, cherry tomatoes and other veggies that could fall through a grill.  You could also do speidies (marinated meat cubes) in that if you didn't have skewers. If camping you could do those things on a campfire and you could put a piece of foil in it and do fish. Burgers, dogs, unshucked ears of corn..lots of things.  :)

I have a similar piece that is for fish and veggies on the BBQ grille, As marked stated it keeps the food from falling thru the grille, Mine is not made of cast iron and is not skillet shaped, it is stainless steel and square but I like the idea of the skillet shape with the handle

It looks like it would make a real good strong minnow net. Either that, or a good fly swatter.

I never even thought of that Jim. Its got the right hand holds for sloshing that sand and dirt around. I'd say this guess is as good as any.  ;)

As Mark mentioned, it's a grill pan usually used for veggies.  It's for the things he listed, asparagus , cherry tomatoes and the like.  Things that may either fall through the grate or are small, may roll around, and you want to keep together.

Hello Paul. So I got ya, its for outdoor use over a grill. I kept trying to think for use inside on a regular kitchen cook stove.  ::) NOW, I get it.  :)
