I read the article too. I don't think they are worth that much. Unless I wanted to have one cast iron piece to cook with.

Is this just another, "I have an idea give me money" GoFundMe/Kickstarter?  Can't stand sites like that.  What return do these "investors" get?

Looks like just a way to sell $100 skillets through a fund-raising site.  Yeesh!
