Stumbled upon this just this morning. Don't know if it's been posted before. If so, just delete this one.

It says they season their cast iron with flax seed oil.

The 2 skillets shown are a 12" Braising Skillet $320.00 and a 9" Frying Skillet at $280.00, I think I will stick with the misc pieces I find at yard sales and flea markets, Don't get me wrong I am all for Made in America I just think that $320 for a new cast iron skillet is way out of my budget range :o

"Made from 100% recycled iron, melted using waste vegetable oil, each piece is hand cast and finished and comes to you pre-seasoned with organic flax seed oil.
Each skillet will have slight variations in appearance due to its hand finishing and is tagged with its edition number".

Sounds highly "collectable", I can easily see that in 50 or 100 years someone will hold one up and say "I've never seen another one" ::)

John Wright in Wrightsville Pa makes some bakeware, mostly cookie and muffin pans, I see pieces with his markings occasionally at flea markets, yard sales and auctions , Not bad quality and they usually sell very reasonable

seems that there are more than 3 or 4 in this country that make cast iron. with the skill that they have, we should be happy that they don't do forgerys.
