Hello all.  During the past day or two I have had email communication regarding this piece and have received pictures to share.   

A Spoors Teakettle

 Hello Al, and welcome to the WAGS Forum. Neat old tea kettle-thank you for the pictures. They made these in several sizes, and there are two variations of the top "baffle". This is a picture of the other "mouse ears" baffle (I still haven't cleaned it). They also made a "boiling kettle". Looks like the tea kettle with out the spout. These also fit into a special stove. Thanks again, and we hope you decide to join us on the members side!  :)

Jim you are right in what you say about this piece. I have seen these for sale out in the real world. I like to ask the sellers what it is, so they can put their best line of BS on me. Interesting piece. Thanks for the posts Cheryl and Jim.  :)
