Bundt Pan with Sprue Mark
« on: October 27, 2014, 08:30:52 PM »
Found this over the weekend. I don't run into too many bundt pans, those that I have come across have had gate marks, however I have not seen one with a sprue mark before. Can anyone give me an approximate age?

This one is also bit heavier than others I have seen, a bit over 10lbs.

I can't help with the age, but you have yourself a very nice pan. 8-)

I would love to get my hands on some good quality antique cast bakeware. Nice find whatever it is.

Thanks, I am always on the lookout for bakeware. The bundt pan is in great shape and will clean up nicely. I had to pay up for it, but no regrets.

I don't think Wagner ever used the round gate mark or sprue type mark in their castings.  It may be another foundry copied the Wagner design.  The casting on this one looks really good.  Not sure who made it though.

I have a few unmarked bundt pans....but I don't recall any of them having a gatemark, etc....all well made...too bad we'll never know who made them so we could at least give them credit for their great workmanship...
