Wagner No. 7 Oval Roaster
« on: October 01, 2014, 01:40:57 AM »
My first post on here. I acquired a Wagner Ware No 7 Cast Iron Oval Roaster today. Looks like the perfect size for cooking I want to do. I can't find many of them or much info about them. I have no idea of their value either. Does someone know more about them or could you point me in the direction of good info?

Hello Ron. Thats a very nice piece. In fact I wouldn't mind owning a whole set of them. That particular one you have came in sizes 1 through 9. The book value on one like yours in excellent condition is 275.00 to three hundred dollars. And its from the 1920's. You have a very nice piece there. Now tell us, how much do you have in it?  :-/ :)

Sorry for riding the coat tails on this thread,  and nice haul btw,,,,

Someone is selling an iron Mountain  chicken #8 pan  for 10 bucks plus shipping, was wondering if it was worth it, AND if the lid from my no name '20s  Wagner chicken fryer would fit on it  ( seeing the base on it is quiet warped )

thanks

Mike

Hi Mike, the $10 for the IM is dirt cheap, altho don't know how well a Wagner lid would fit on a Griswold product.

Thanks Randy

looks like they sold it locally and didn't want to ship,

considering they had two skillets, one being Japan version  and this unit   for  a total of 10 bucks, i  didn't think it would last long enough for them to want to ship it lol
 oh well
