Can you tell me what brand skillets these are?
« on: June 16, 2014, 08:23:41 PM »
Good evening folks,

My girlfriend sent me some pictures of her mother's cast iron skillets that were passed down to her.  I'm not sure if these are Birmingham Stove & Range skillets or not.  Would someone please verify they are BS&R or correct me and tell me what they are?  She sent these photos from her phone, so hopefully they upload well.

Thanks kindly in advance!

Mary

Hi Cheryl,

Nice to hear from you, and thanks for the verification.  The winter has come in the form of responsibilities stemming from a mother with dementia, and a lot of changes at work. It appears that Canadian law firms are starting to use the American style of law firm changes, and its been a hard adjustment.  I just don't have much time these days to spend on hobbies.

But, I hope to stop by now and again.  Hope all is well with you and yours!

Both BSR for sure, and look to be in great shape.

Wonderful to hear from you, Mary ...drop in anytime you have a few extra minutes.

So sorry to hear of your Mother's condition... that's heartbreaking.  Sending only good thoughts your way.

Nice to hear from you too Sandy.  Hope all is well with you.

Thanks for the kind comments.  It sure is a heartbreaking disease.  Both my paternal grandparents had it.  One of my mother's sisters has it and another of her sisters died from it a few years ago.  It's familiar road - I wish it wasn't - but you play the cards you are dealt.

Nice pans your friend has.  I have a buddy that gets any BSR I run across if he does not own it already.  Nice set of users that will last forever. :)

Waiting in a doctors office, it was heard from an elderly lady that "Getting old ain't for sissies".
As we get older, I suspect we would all agree on that at some point. ;)

Prayers are with you and yours.

Thanks Larry.  I agree that getting old ain't for sissies.  My grandmother used to say "The golden years my **ass**!"  She used to say a lot more, but I won't repeat it here because it involves swear words.  And this from a woman who rarely swore otherwise, and would chase a grown man out of her house with a broom for swearing in her house. It would start with her saying "Ron...language!"  If it happened again, you better run. :)
