Wagner W/I hinges??
« on: July 05, 2006, 10:03:50 PM »
Did Wagner ever make W/I hinge other than the 'flat faced ball hinge'?  All I have ever seen have the same hinge and all the pics in both the Red and Blue Book seem to have the same hinge even in the pat. 189? W/I's.  I know there are several different Griswold styles of hinges but Wagner seems to have been the same from 189? and on from what I have seen-but alot I haven't seen.  Mike

Mike, that's all I've seen, too.  1892 is the date on the early irons.

There was the hinge on the National W.I. and the pin and hole hinge on the WW wafer iron.

Harry- Just got a National W/I and it is very different from the Wagner.  I'll put up a few pics for those like me that haven't seen the National hinge before.  Mike
