Stainless wire brush
« on: September 12, 2016, 07:39:03 PM »
Today I took the paddles from my grandmother's CI waffle maker out of the electro and wire brushed it for a final cleaning.
To get between the nubs I used a small, narrow  stainless brush that I have on hand with my gun smithing tools.  Worked perfectly! :D

They are handy Lil buggers.   I'm still waiting for my first waffle iron.

A light touch required even with SS brushes... always .

Frequently the smith's work requires a  delicate touch especially on older or antique pieces. Some of the antique shotguns I have worked on were made in the 1890s and a mistake would lesson the value just like an old cast iron piece.  :'(
