Asking the BSR collectors about 3 5 7, S series
« on: January 17, 2019, 06:33:18 PM »
Picked up a #3 that appears to be in the S series, it doesnít quite fit the norm of the few Iíve seen on line. The founts look smaller and has a slash between with also a molder letter ID.

It does measure 6 1/4 across. My best guess maybe late production of the last S series?

Does anyone have a bit more knowledge on the S series that can shed some more light on this one.

Thanks,  also others that what to share pictures of theirs here are more than welcome too for reference here.

Hi Steve.  It is likely that this skillet is a later S Series.  Do you have a pic of the top view that shows the pour spouts?  Are they wider, or narrower?  :)

Cheryl they appear to be the larger wider type. I had just today got around to throwing it in the lye bath. Iíll check it in a couple of days and and another picture. It may be slow going for the lye as cold as it is outside.

And thanks.

ďI really can't stay (but baby, it's cold outside)
I've got a skillet in the lye (but baby, it's cold outside so it will take longer)Ē

Weird weather here in the home of the Braves. The high today is supposed to be 55 and then 61 tomorrow. The. We get down to a high of 39 on Sunday with a low of 21. Highs in the mid 40ís all next week, with the exception of Wednesday (57) and possible snow flurries on Thursday. What? How do you have snow flurries when the high for that day is 45?

Perfect weather to get everybody sick. Of course, I beat them to the punch in that one.

Oops. The flu drugs must be messing with my brain. I forgot to talk about the S series. I thought I had a 7-S (with a dash in between) but I canít find it. That might be the one I gave to my daughter. Iíll get her to check and send me a picture.

Here are the 3 and 5 I have ...
