INTERNET AUCTION DEADBEATS

There are all kinds of people in this world.  People who you can trust, people that lie to you and people that cheat you.  On various, large internet auction sites you need to be careful of those that will lie, cheat and abuse you.  I'm going to make and maintain a list of those sellers that I have encountered on auction sites that WILLINGLY try to sell reproductions or damaged goods, yet refuse to let you know, even after I've confronted them.  I'm going to list the seller's EMAIL address and then it is up to you to be aware of their tactics.

If you have any SELLERS that you'd like added to this list, let me, as we cast iron collectors need to stick together and warn others. If you want to know which auction sites these scum reside, email ME. BEWARE of these INTERNET DEADBEATS!!

Well now, one of the auction sites does not allow you to see email addresses, so I'll have to just list the monikers in my alerts. Remember to check their "IDs" as they can be changed!!!!

Thanks to all those that have reported to me the frauds out there. Remmeber if you know of sellers out there that are less than honest, help out the rest of us and report them to me. I'll maintain this list, the rest is up to YOU!! My best advice, is that if the auction is private and the feedback is private, then buyer BEWARE!!!

Email Address                                                                   What I've seen them do
CB75069@aol.com.
Uses private auctions to hide the bidders names and then willfully sells reproductions.  This scum prays on beginner collectors!!

acinhol@netzero.net
Sells "quality" goods, offers refund if not satisified, items are damaged and then refuses to return money. Avoid this seller at ALL times!

Bidithere@aol.com
Willing sells damaged cast iron items, as "early authentic and made that way"

SouthnWnds@aol.com, aka Julia Squires Lists item as "excellent condition" then provides pix at close of auction showing pitting damage. Then files complaint with auction site for non-payment. Greedy and a liar, not to be trusted!! BEWARE

fivebears58@yahoo.com: moniker 5bears58 aka Brett Bareford. Sold a damaged #7 oval roaster to Lisa Sowins (Chipster2@comcast.net) and won't return money.

waynes6749 Bids on auctions to win and then does not pay for the auction and then requests the seller to cancel his transaction!! Apparently he does this a lot, as from his own words, "this is the way its always been for me from other sellers in the past". Save yourselves some headaches and just block this moniker on FleaBay.

thunderpress Uses private auctions to hid the bidders names and then willfully sells reproductions. This scum prays on beginner collectors!!

bookwormmom Sells reproduction items (especially Griswold toy kettles and rabbit molds) and doesn't return emails when "called" on it. Prays on beginner collectors!!

FOURDUCKS Watch this person, Terry Drake. They just changed their selling ID toSELLNTIME Sells reproduction items (especially Griswold toy skillets and rabbit molds) and doesn't return emails when "called" on it. Prays on beginner collectors!! UPDATE: If you look, the auction site now has FOURDUCKS and SELLNTIME listed as "Not a Registered User". WATCH OUT and let me know when they reappear, as Terry Drake will be back but in disguise!!

maythunder (maythunder1@aol.com) Uses private auctions to hid the bidders names and then willfully sells reproductions. States that they don't know the objects they are selling, yet sells "as is, no returns". This scum prays on beginner collectors!! Check out their feedback, sells many types of reproductions as well. When confronted about selling FAKE Griswold Santas, states MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS, then brings up God and judging others. Types like this makes the internet auctions a buyer beware place.

NITESALE Uses private auctions to hid the bidders names and then willfully sells reproduction Griswold lambs, rabbits, Santas and tea pots. This scum prays on beginner collectors!! Can't even check out their feedback, as they keep it private!! Also have some proof that they shill bid on their items and perhaps those of maythunder (see above).

Cyclone24s (cyclone24s@aol.com) Uses private auctions to hid the bidders names, has private feedback and then willfully sells reproduction Griswold, especially Santas. Currently has 8 negative feedbacks. This scum prays on beginner collectors!! States to mind your own business and then calls upon God and peace for the world in order to divert attention away from the "sin" they are doing to the unsuspecting buyers. Can't believe these online auction sites encourage this from their sellers!!

BARRNUNN22 Uses private auctions to hid the bidders names and then willfully sells reproduction cast iron, Arcade, Griswold lambs, rabbits, Santas and tea pots. This scum prays on beginner collectors!! Can't even check out their feedback, as they keep it private!! Also have some proof that maythunder, cyclone24s and nitesale (see above)may be the same DEALER. Watch out, as the auction site they are on state that they can do whatever they want and have as many IDs as they want. It's a BUYER beware atmosphere out there!!

V4PLAY Sold a #4 Griswold large block skillet with heat ring on an auction site as an original piece. Once the buyer received it, it was immediatedly identified as a reproduction and then the seller refused to refund the money. The seller stated "an obvious case of buyer's remorse". My suggestion is to avoid anymore remorse from this seller and boycott all this person's auctions!!

JJOHNL (jjohnl@bellsouth.net) Sold a #6 gem pan, shipped it in a box without peanuts or protection of any kind. Flopped around in the box like a fish out of water. It arrived in two pieces. Seller forgot to insure it and won't return money nor emails. Auction site refuses to help out.

rock_of_memories Uses private auctions to hid the bidders names and then willfully sells reproductions. Also has private feedback. This scum prays on beginner collectors!!

xmashunter (xmashunter@aol.com) Over charges for shipping. If you leave neutral feedback, he leaves you negative and says you "MADE IMPROPER & FALSE ACCUSATIONS. RUDE & CONDESCENDING". This is the "fairness" of Feedback! I recommend staying away from this dishonest person.

glassoffaith If you bid on any items from this seller you may want to make sure that they are not PRIVATE auctions. A quick look at the feedback will demonstrate that they sell reproductions in PRIVATE auctions. Recently sold a Reproduction Griswold Santa mold in a private auction, yet it was described as "very fine condition..2 pieces..both marks and are accurate" Yes, it was, accurate, accurate for a reproduction. Be careful out there collectors!!

xera9 (@yahoo.com) as well as xera10 (S.Y., Chesapeake VA) First she does not send paid for items and then the police force her to comply. Then she sent items not in the auction, the ole bait and switch routine. Police have to be called on her AGAIN, as she refuses to answer emails or phone calls. JUST STAY AWAY!
