Had a nice talk with him last summer at the O'Neils.  Really fun to be around.

Sorry to hear this. Glad he was able to make it to Grand Rapids a couple years ago and to meet him after all the correspondence through the Forum.

Very sad news.  I always enjoyed visiting with him and reading his posts.  He was a great person and will be missed.

So very sad to hear of Mike's passing. I remember first meeting him about 8 years ago...what a great guy. He truly will be missed.

Mike Shonfield

I just learned yesterday that Mike Shonfield passed away in January of this year from esophageal cancer while on vacation in Hawaii.

Truly heartbreaking news.  Those who interacted with him on the Forum knew he was quick to crack a joke and never took himself too seriously.

I always looked forward to seeing Mike at conventions.  We shared a lot of laughs over the years.  To know him was to love him... he was a friend to everyone.

Rest in peace buddy, you are missed.  After years of battling cancer you have to be in a better place now.

Here's a link to his obituary:

Thank you Cheryl for sending me this information.  She learned of this from a FB post his daughter made.
