Might have to put Chattanooga back on the convention agenda for 2022.  See Lodge's new expansion and Joel's collection too.

Great news.  Jeff never got back to me, after he contacted me first.  Strange.

Joel's collection has been gifted to Lodge, who wants to have a museum. Sounds like  a good chance the collection would stay intact.  Smiley

They've sure done a nice job with the site.  There is even a radio interview with him in 2011 at the bottom of the Press page.

Would be a good episode for Strange Inheritance.

I wonder if Johnson & Wales would be interested in it.

Lots of great senior projects there researching the collection.

That makes me happy.  I'm glad to see this.  Well done.

I agree.  I think Joel would be very pleased.

I agree, really well done.  I was surprised to see the picture of Joel and Me in Larry O'Neils basement in 2011.  Photographer unknown.  I think Sandy took that picture.

Very well put together, and hope that the collection is kept, preserved, and cherished, as Joel always wanted. He will always be missed, and it has been my privilege to call him friend. Miss the long phone conversations (sometimes several times a week) talking about the history and unique pieces.
This reminds me of our JT...who helped personally move every piece from one facility to another. The worst thing would have been to see a good portion end up in private hands.
