But it would be fun to see how many different makers one could gather!  Wink  The sizes 1,2,3,&4 is the old numbering system used. #4 is a 6-7, # 3 a 7-8, # 2 a 8-9, and the #1 is a 9-10. (there are a few exceptions...I have a #1 that is a 6 size, but others (marked #1)  that are a #10 size!.
Some of the other makers that used those rings/circles  are Isaac A. Sheppard, Wright & Bridgefield, Warnick & Leibrandt, Chase, North & Chase...the list is a long one. The smallest marked size I have seen (other than a toy) was actually marked 5-6. There are flip style waffle irons that are only 5" in diameter (not a toy). Waffle irons are fun!!! Smiley

Thanks Jim for that terrific info.
Guess I won't be able to get all the different sizes, too many...
And here I thought I had them all...; never seen anything smaller than a #6, except for a Stover toy w.i.

Cheers.

Herman...nice line up of the waffle irons!  Now, the w.i.'s with multiple rings are by many makers. In sizes, they would be 6, 6-7, 7, 7-8, 8, 8-9, 9, 9-10.
There are also makers with rings that made sizes #1, 2, 3 & #4 . For example, J. Savery's Sons (circa 1853- 1888) made them (the early variations, not the later ones).  Good looking waffle irons there.

Well, just picked up another "ringer" w.i.; this one is a Orr Painter & Co., Reading PA.
I now have 4 of these "ringers": a #6, 7&8, 8, and 9.
All have the rings on the outside, but all in different locations and numbers.
Am I missing any?
