Danish? Munk/aebleskiver pan, Crown Over F?
Apr 18th, 2012, 10:05pm

I was reading through a few other threads and I believe the Crown over the F means its actually danish? Does it point to a particular maker? It has "patent" on the handle. Any ideas as to age?

I've not yet found anything specific for the mark.  I've always considered it to be Danish.  Might be another Scandinavian country, but I don't know.  Might be Fiskars (Finland).  You find them with a Crown over R.  I think that is Raadvad, a Danish company, but all guessing of course.

I did wonder if it would say patent if of non-english origin?

Here is a picture of "patent" on the handle. Little crispy, not cleaned it yet.

No reason not to have it if it was intended for export, although if coming to the US it had to have the country of origin in English after about 1923.
